Thunderstorms Could Bring Harmful Winds, Hail To CT: Timing


CONNECTICUT – The National Weather Service has issued a severe storm alert for Connecticut until 8 pm Hail, wind, and lightning are top concerns, according to the weather service.

NBC Connecticut Chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said on his social media that we should be on the lookout for the weather anytime after 2 p.m. M. And before 7 p. M.

“Be on the lookout for strong, scattered storms capable of producing large hail and gusty winds. Not everyone sees a storm, but some may be intense!” Hanrahan said on his social networks. “There is a risk of strong to severe scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The main threat will be to damage the wind in a straight line. Hail is also possible.”
