Real Madrid have signed, sealed and delivered their 34th La Liga title, so let’s take a look at three players who came out of their shells this season.
The taste of victory is still fresh in the air and there’s still a game to play, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start taking down the stars of the season. Real Madrid is still in the midst of rebuilding, but it looks like they are at the tail end as the pieces of the puzzle come together.
Zinedine Zidane has been able to incorporate young people into his team significantly, not just in 10-minute cameos like many other clubs in Europe.
Three players reached the top again and again when Zidane put his trust in his men. Each contributed something unique to the team, but it is their incredible work ethic that makes them Real Madrid tomorrow, today.
Federico Valverde
Imagine having the excellent opportunity to learn and develop your craft from Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro. Well, that is the privilege that has been granted to Federico Valverde, and unlike the previous ones, he has taken great advantage of it.
Marcos Llorente’s sale seemed to be a mistake, at least at the beginning of the season, but we discovered very quickly that Zidane had an ace up his sleeve.
Valverde was the subject of conversation in the city as the season progressed. The Uruguayan could not be wrong every time he stepped on the field. When Luka Modric suffered an injury, he was there and played double pivot with Casemiro, and when he replaced him, he played as a starter.

There is something so beautiful about watching Valverde play. The simplicity in his game is as if he had taken the best of starting midfield three around him and incorporated it into his game.
By no means is he world class (at least not yet) but, if there is any midfielder heading to that state, it is Federico.
Valverde has become increasingly confident after each cap he received with Real Madrid and having the faith of Zidane at just 21 years old, now that he deserves a massive cookie. No player under the age of 25 at Real Madrid has played more than Valverde so far.
