Thousands of World Classic players landed on a single server last night to get a new best experience – and it was complete chaos.
Last week, I reported on how a thousand World and Warcraft players banded together to create a “fresh” experience in the classic version of the popular MMO.
In the absence of fresh servers coming with the launch of the Burning Crusade Classic, those who were only now in 2004 are fond of playing the famous MMO, which launches an area full of players and boating at the highest level.
In response, players gathered to “reboot” the vanilla experience on at least one of the populated servers.
When I reported on it last week, Fresh Crusade was a community project with a strong 1300 player record. Last night, in March, when the server that would be the home of this massive re-roll event was announced, Discord had 10,000 members.
The original idea was to provide a new stratification experience similar to that on fresh fur when the World Craft F craft craft classic – when indeed the Lockard v Warcraft craft world first f – was first launched.

Kazar’s re-roll experience was just like any other, it seems:
“I started with five people from my community and we tried to explore some, but it was hard to hit anything so we ran into higher level areas and killed as many mobs as possible.
“It was far from a traditional stratification experience and it was overwhelming to have so many people around you all the time but there is still something unique that I have never experienced in MMORPG.”

However, a day after the launch, things have calmed down somewhat.

One of the reasons for the existence of the Fresh Crusade is the fight against boating and economic inflation affecting the World Work Classics.
Fresh Crusade targeted low-population servers at the bottom to give players a chance to get the best “refreshing” experience despite this boating problem.
Unfortunately, boating also exists on dating servers, and Dragonfeng was no exception. “Even if the fresh field is released by Blizzard, it will probably be a month-long peak, as it will reach the same level of high-population servers,” Kazzar said.
“The concern of the people of this project is with them and it is perfectly valid. Boating will not be a problem for the players as they get level through the game together and we have tried to promote a positive mindset, but we did not make it to the final game. While Kazar enjoys how popular the Fresh Crusade became, it seems like he’s sorting things out and keeping the beaded discord at the top has been very stressful.
After the Fresh Crusade hit the headlines, some people tried to disrupt the project – an attempt that continued even after the launch.
These people tried to “pre-level” the server by trying to guess, the Fresh Crusade will continue and the level will come there first. This upsets some in the community who want to start a playground.
And then there’s the predictable toxic behavior from some that has emerged as the Fresh Crusade that has grown in popularity throughout the week.

Kazar and co now plan to host server-wide events to keep players interested, as well as another re-roll event to bring more people to the server for a pre-patch of the Burning Crusade classic. Kazar expects the Burning Crusade to bring even more players than the classic classic.
