This could be our first look at the real world in the Galaxy Z Fold 2

Samsung Galaxy Fold Review on a counter

  • An alleged real-world shot of the Galaxy Fold 2 has broken the cover.
  • The image suggests that a punching selfie camera may appear on the folding screen.

At this rate, nothing is likely to be a secret at Samsung’s Unpacked event. After the price of the Galaxy Note 20 and a full hands-on video of the Galaxy Watch 3 leaked yesterday, an alleged shot of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has been broken.

The shot, which found its way to XDA Twitter timeline of writer Max Weinbach (h / t: 9to5Google), supposedly details Samsung’s next foldable phone during its boot sequence.

If the fit is real, confirm the Samsung name fit for the Galaxy Fold line. The unsightly notch of the first fold is also missing, giving way to a perforated camera on the right side of the folded screen. However, it only shows if you increase the brightness and contrast.

Beyond this, it seems like the Galaxy Z Fold 2 could have thinner edges that will go a long way in making the phone easier to store. However, those who expect imperceptible bezels will be disappointed. A fold is also seen along the fold of the device.

This is our first seemingly real look at the Galaxy Z Fold 2, as small renders were leaked earlier this month. Those suggested that the phone will also be offered in a Mystic Bronze color, which appears to be Samsung’s 2020 shade.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2, along with four other key Samsung devices, will be officially on display on August 5.
