The Yankees’ manager, Aaron Boone, came out for an explosive rent on the ball and strikes.

The New York Yankees are hosting the Miami Marlins for the final three games of the 2020 MLB season this weekend. During the opener of the series on Friday night, the Yankees slugger Aaron Judge received a strict strike three call.

Aaron Boone was fired immediately after the suspicious call. Boon thugs came out to argue with home plate umpire John Tumpen, and the Yankees’ manager added a bit of colorful language while handling his frustrations.

In a complaint to Tumpen, Boone promised to praise Merlin’s right-hander Sandy Alcantara’s sinker, but explained that for the last pitch, the so-called slider strike was not “good.” He added certain words in between. (See here).

The Marlins (29-28) are battling to secure a playoff spot in this year’s extended, 16-team field. Entering Friday’s game, Miami’s magic score was below two. This will be the Marlins’ first post-season appearance since 2003, when they offended the Yankees in six games and won their second World Series title in franchise history.

The Blue Jays will wrap up their 2020 season with a three-match series against the Baltimore Rio.
