Announced this weekend at the FunimationCon 2020 digital event, The world ends with you Animation is a new anime that will be released in 2020 and is based on a popular role-playing game The world ends with you.
This new anime uses the same artistic style as the original game, as seen in a recently released trailer.
Funimation shared these details about the next series on his official blog announcing the anime.
The world ends with you The animation follow Neku Sakuraba as he steps into a video game setting in Shibuya called Reaper game that will have him fighting for his life. Along with the allies with whom he joins the way, Neku will have to reach the end to see his humanity again.
Originally released by Square Enix and released on Nintendo DS in 2007, The world ends with you it has since been ported to mobile phones and the Nintendo Switch. Last month, this news was mocked through a teaser site.
No specific release date beyond the year 2021 was given for the new anime.
