Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad became Chiranjeevi with his first film “Pranam Khareedu” in 1978 and eventually shot to stardom since Khaidi in 1983.

He has about number of super hits and blockbusters on his list, but we mention here his Top-5 most discussed movies on social media on various parameters.

Khaidi (1983):

It will be a surprise to know that this is Chiranjeevi’s 62nd film. That means he acted in 61 films in the first 4-5 years of his career.

Directed by Kodandarami Reddy, this film has the shadows of the Hollywood Blockbuster First Blood of 1982. This was released in October 1983 and gave a new turning point to Chiranjeevi.

He has gained star status since this film and has held him at number one position in Tollywood ever since.

Rudraveena (1988):

After enjoying the constellation together for years as a mass hero, Chiranjeevi decided to make some meaningful films that could inspire the boys to do socially correct things.

He produced and traded in “Rudraveena” in the direction of K Balachander.

Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (1990):

The socio-fantasy element in Yandamoori Veerendranath story, Jandhyala dialogues and K Raghavendra Rao’s direction took this film to the next level with tightly packed entertainment.

Gang Leader (1991):

This Vijaya Bapineedu directorate has redefined the making standards of commercial mass films.

It became an enormous blockbuster that it was brought back in Hindi when Aaj Ka Gundaraj replayed the role with Chiranjeevi and in Kannada as Kutumba with Upendra in the lead.

The Hindi remake has also made Chiranjeevi more popular in Bollywood circus.

Tagore (2003):

This is the remake of the Tamil hit “Ramanaa” directed by AR Murugadoss. The film has the element of destroying corruption from society.

The film gave Chiranjeevi a new twist and helped him gain a few miles to enter politics as well.

This biggest hit brought the National Award for lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja for the penny of the song “Nenu Saitam …”.
