‘Our focus in the coming weeks and months will be on our team’
And Mass Entertainment, widely known as the North American publisher of TERA (before TERA Online), shuttered.
The news was announced on the TERA Facebook page, as the publisher had explained that it had “begun the process of dismantling the company of En Masse Entertainment” yesterday. They are focusing on helping their team now, but will announce more information about their current array of products “in the coming weeks.”
As a comment TERA will continue (e.g. Closer) because it is far beyond the reach of En Masse. Korean-based Bluehole Studio is finally at the helm of TERA, with three other publishers in competition with their outside En Masse who handle worldwide publishing assignments. And Mass himself confirms that “support will continue.”
Even if you’ve never heard of En Masse before, it’s a lot for a lot of people. TERA has been in operation in North America since 2012, and even moved to current gen consoles in 2018. The publisher also handles various games that are still in operation, and also handles one-time publishing tasks for titles such as Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance en Stranger Things 3: The Game. And Mass even had her own launcher!
