Adam Scaley, owner of the Adamson Barbecue, is accused of obstructing police, misconduct, consistently failing to comply with orders, and failing to perform every count when directed.
The restaurant was seized early this morning by the Toronto Police Service, the locks were changed and all individuals were barred from entering the premises, Toronto Superintendent of Police Dom Sinopoli said at a press conference late Thursday evening.
“The owner (Scaley) was given a little leeway to access the back compartment of the building,” Sinopoli said. After entering the back of the building, the scaly drive all broke down, entering the restaurant and damaging the locks placed by the city, Sinopoli said.

Cinepoli said both Scali and the man will be in court on Friday for a bail hearing from the 23rd Division.
Sincholi said Scalley has been served by giving an irregular letter and another letter will be posted at the restaurant, barring anyone from entering the building and the adjacent parking space. Toronto Public Health has taken over the entire campus, Sinopoli said.
City of Toronto Mayor John Tory said he believes Scalley is making a political statement.
“They had a lot of anti-mask people out there,” Tory told CNN’s Erica Hill on Thursday morning on “New Day.”
“It was like he was celebrating like a festival trying some of his unconventional views.”
“But I think most people don’t accept that. They’re trying to make sacrifices that are terrible in some cases to make sure we can all get better,” Tory added, adding that he believes That would scalply “if convicted” face heavy fines.
