As the world of college soccer continues to discover what the 2020 soccer season will be like, news of the first game of the Florida State Seminoles soccer season 2021 game was announced Tuesday.
The Seminoles were scheduled to play Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Labor Day (September 6, 2021), but will now return to September 5.
No immediate reason was given for the change.

Florida State’s 2021 season opener against Notre Dame in Tallahassee has been moved to Sunday, September 5, it was announced Tuesday.
The Seminoles were originally slated to house the Fighting Irish on Monday, September 6, but will now have national focus the day before Labor Day. Florida State leads the all-time series 6-3, including a 31-27 victory in 2014 over No. 5 Notre Dame the last time the teams met in Tallahassee.
The FSU local calendar for 2021 also includes clashes with the states of Miami, Louisville, North Carolina, Syracuse, UMass and Jacksonville.
