I have two children, and so my hopes and dreams for LEGO sets have gradually shifted over the years from “playing Dragon Roost Island” to “adequate storage solutions”. And the new and surprising collaboration between LEGO and IKEA definitely provides the latest.

The new BYGGLEK series is a “playful storage solution” consisting of a bunch of white boxes to hold LEGO in, with as catches those boxes also have studs in and on the lids so they can also be used as building sites.

It’s simple, but so good. Kids can open the box, take bricks out of the box, build toys on the back of the lid then, when it’s time to clean up, just … put the lid back on, with bricks still on, so they can continue other times.

As a parent, this is a dream scenario.

They will start rolling worldwide starting October and will be available in a selection of sizes, from a set of three boxes for $ 10 to an enormous size box for $ 15. There will also be a custom 201-piece LEGO brick sets are sold next to them, which usually consists of simple, conventional pieces.
