The new coronavirus spreads faster, it doesn’t make you sicker

According to a study report, there appears to be clear evidence about the coronavirus that has spread from Europe to the U.S., that the new form spreads faster than before but does not make the person sicker. The new mutation spreads faster and more infectious.

The new mutation affects the spike protein and the current vaccines under test are also targeted at the spike protein. With the new development in this global study, the developing vaccines must still be tested with the new mutation. According to the same research, the new G614 mutation has replaced the first version that spread in Europe and the United States, which is called D614.

The G614 virus mutation variant spreads faster, more infectious but not more pathogenic. The G614 variant was rare outside of Europe as of March this year, but has spread across the world in late March. G614 appears to multiply faster in the upper respiratory tract, nose, sinuses, and throat, making it easily passed.

The study confirms that the new version did not make patients worse than those with the original variant. The last mutation of variant G614 can be neutralized with convalescent serum, the antibodies of the blood products of those recovered with coronavirus recovered.
