The Medium gets the first gameplay video; Game to launch on PlayStation 5 later

The Medium, the psychological horror game in development on Bloober Team, recently opened its pre-orders after the latest Dual-Reality trailer unveiled at Microsoft’s Xbox Games event.

However, in case you haven’t stayed for the post show presented by Geoff Keighley, you have probably missed the actual showcase of the game. Fortunately, it’s now available on Bloober’s YouTube channel and we’ve embedded below.

Fable, Forza and more Exclusive 1 and 3 part parts apparently from the Xbox Series X console

In the new game tutorial of The mediumFirst seen live during the Geoff Keighley Xbox Games Showcase post-show live broadcast, viewers see how players can control Marianne, a medium haunted by visions, living and interacting on two different worlds simultaneously with the Comment from the developer of the game’s lead designer, Wojciech Piejko. Throughout the trailer, Marianne’s movement through both worlds is controlled by a single analog stick, as she uses different interactions between each of the worlds to solve puzzles and explore various paths. Viewers can also take a look at how Marianne in the Spirit World has different abilities than the real-world Marianne, including a supernatural ability called Out of Body.

The game, which is the Bloober Team’s most ambitious project to date according to the Polish studio, is expected to launch during the holiday season on both Xbox Series X and PC (Steam). However, the Xbox Games Showcase event also subtly revealed that The Medium will also be available on other platforms.

Just before the new trailer, the slogan ‘Console Launch Exclusive’ appeared. Needless to say, Sony’s PlayStation 5 is the most obvious platform that Bloober Team could point to whenever the Microsoft-timed exclusivity window expires, whether it’s six months or twelve. After all, the developers have already said that dual-world mechanics couldn’t be done the same way on current-generation consoles, which certainly rules out the Nintendo Switch for one thing.
