Prepare to return to the wonderful world of Avatar, the last airbender. While the original animated series has proven to be a huge hit with Netflix, as old fans remember and the new one falls for the show, the streaming giant is taking it one step further and giving fans a special gift: a live action series. While some viewers may hesitate a bit about supporting another adaptation, Netflix is making some major changes to the way it will run to make sure everyone ends up happy.

Is Netflix really doing a live action? ATLA?
Yes, and it has been in process for quite some time. Although the original series was released to the streaming giant in late May 2020, Netflix announced that the show will become a live-action series in 2018.

Will it have something to do with it The last Airbender movie?
Fortunately for fans who were disappointed with the live-action film, the new series will not include the film and will start from the beginning. Unlike the original movie, the live-action show will also bring together creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, aka Bryke, as showrunners and executive producers.

Has anyone else come back for the show?
The series’ original composer Jeremy Zuckerman will also return to create the music for the new live-action series. It is unknown if any of the other writers will return to help tailor the series, but with a tight-knit group like the ATLA gang, it wouldn’t be too surprising if they came back too.
Who will play the characters?
The casting for the show has not been announced and it is a safe bet to say that things have been delayed due to COVID-19. However, unlike the film adaptation, fans won’t have to worry about bleaching this time.
