You have to discover it for yourself. At 13, you still don’t have the social skills to spot a social climber or person trying to use you. And I got used to it.
Fame shocked the entire Boyce family
Boyce went on auditions while attending regular school. At age 20, his appreciation for his mother and father increased.
“People have to sacrifice for you, which I didn’t understand when I was a child, but if I remember now, I’m leaving, my dad quit his job,” Boyce said. “My mother was letting me spend my last period in school so I could go to a stupid audition that I didn’t reserve.”

However, it was what her sister endured that almost broke her heart.
When I really realized it was when my sister came home from school and talked about how her classmates naturally associated her with me and that’s what it was. I hated that and that killed me. I didn’t want her to feel like she was in my shadow or that she was younger than her. So there are definitely things you think about that changed the whole fabric of my family and the way we work as a unit.
