If you’re a resident of Deschutes County, Oregon, you might want to host a slum party in the world’s latest blockbuster video store.
The Blockbuster is located in Bend, Oregon, and households of up to four people can reserve it for one of the three available nights: September 18, 19 or September 20. Booking opens today at 1PM PT / 4PM ET. According to the Airbnb listing, a stay costs $ 4 per night.
Spending a night in the last vestige of an outdated franchise may sound like a morbid affair, but this actually seems pretty cool. The store manager, Sandi Harding, decorated the place with a pull-out couch, a beanbag chair, snacks, a TV set, and (of course) a VHS player. Tenants will have access to the full selection of movies from the store and are encouraged to “wear your favorite denim of the ’90s.”
If you can not snag a lock, do not worry. The layout of the living room will be available to the general public to check in during business hours for “a limited time” after sleep has closed.
