Cinnat Wongwajirpakdi became Thailand’s first royal wife for almost a century

His royal wife has been reinstated to the post almost a year after the king of Thailand stripped her of her title in a dramatic drop from grace.

The Royal Gazette announced on Wednesday that King Wajirolongkorn had returned the rank and title of Cinnat Wongwajirapakdi.

Sininat was ousted from his post in October 2019, just months after he was named as the king’s ally.

Mahal said he was being punished for trying to bring himself into a “queen-like state”.

Cinnat was the first royal instrument in Thailand for nearly a century, where the term refers to a partner in addition to the king’s wife.

She also accused the king of “misconduct and treason” in a statement she made last year. He has not been seen in public since and his whereabouts have not been confirmed.

The king’s recent decision means “Cinnat Wongwajirapakdi is not tarnished”, the Royal Gazette announced.

“From now on, it will happen that she was never stripped of her military rank or royal attire.”

Born in 1985, she is from northern Thailand and worked as a nurse before entering into a relationship with then-Crown Prince Wajirolongkorn.

Eventually she became a bodyguard, pilot and parachutist and joined the royal guards. In early 2019, she was appointed a Major-General.

In July of that year he received the facial title of the first Royal Noble Concert, after which the king married his fourth wife, Queen Suthida, who had been his deputy head of personal security details.

A few months later, in October-October, Sininat was unexpectedly stripped of his position and title, leading to widespread speculation about the possibility of a sudden collapse.

Given the secrecy surrounding the palace’s affairs in Thailand, the royal wife will never be made public, because – and subsequent restoration – the real reason for her removal.

Thailand’s lease-majest law prohibits any criticism of the monarchy, with the offenders being sentenced to heavy imprisonment.

The removal of the Senate in 2019 sparked a backlash from the king’s two ex-wives. In 1996, he denounced his second wife, who fled the United States, and rejected his four sons with him.

In 201 In, his third wife, Srirasami Suvadi, stripped him of all his titles and expelled him from the royal court. Her 14-year-old son has been raised in Germany and Switzerland by King Wazirolongkorn.

King, who now spends most of his time in Germany, has a total of seven children.

Former Thai Airways flight attendant Queen Suthida has been seen in public with him for many years, although she never officially acknowledged their relationship before she got married.

Even after the wedding, his partner Sininat was a regular guest at royal functions until his fall.

Over the centuries Thai kings took many wives – or wives. But until 2019, the last time a Thai king took official funds was in 1920, and the title has not been used since the country became a constitutional monarchy in 1932.

The palace was announced on Wednesday amid anti-government protests in Thailand, where the military has imposed political rule since the 2014 uprising. The protests include demands to curb the king’s recent extended powers and unprecedented calls for reform of the monarchy.

Opponents have challenged the king’s decision to declare the Crown property as his personal property, making him Thailand’s richest man. It was supposedly based on faith for the benefit of the people.

The concentration of military power in the hands of the unprecedented monarchy in modern Thailand – King Wajirolongkorn’s decision to take individual command of all military units based in Bangkok – has also been questioned.

In 2016, after the death of his beloved father Bhumibol Adulyadej, Raja ascended the throne. King Bhumibol ruled for 70 years, making him the world’s longest-serving ruler at the time of his death.
