The first review for Super Mario 3D World + Bury Zar Fury is now

Super Mario 3D World and Burser Versus Fury

The very first review of Super Mario 3D World + Buzzer Fury has now been published by the Japanese publication, Femitsu. The verdict comes just a week before the game’s official release.

Femitsu’s scoring system has four out of ten different reviewers; In this case, the magazine’s reviewers selected scores of nine, nine, eight and ten, resulting in an overall score of 36/40 (thanks, Raikutya 2089 / VGC).

As noted by VGC, Femitsu scored 38/40 on the original Wii U version of Super Mario 3D World, a slightly higher score than the release of the new Switch game. The review report called Bowser’s Fury mode “very enjoyable”, while also challenging the new mode’s offerings and the appreciation offered by the game’s online function in base game.

We’ll have our own review of the game for you a little closer to the game’s release, so be sure to stay tuned to read our thoughts. Fury of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser launches exclusively on the Switch on February 12 – and you can now pre-order it.
