The design and specifications of the ZTE Axon 20 with sub-screen camera have been leaked

Perhaps one of the most anticipated innovations in the smartphone industry is the implementation of a camera with sub-screens. It is hard not to admit that this innovation will attract a large number of users, as many are just tired of all these cuts, notches and holes. And the introduction of this technology is very close to reality, as the Chinese company ZTE has plans to unveil the Axon 20 smartphone, the first device with a front-facing camera for a sub-screen.

The design and specs of the ZTE Axon 20 5G with a sub-screen have been leaked

Earlier, the company has already started publishing samples of photos taken by the module in front of the camera to check how ordinary users will react to the quality. Through this action, the company has already confirmed the presence of a smartphone that is preparing them for release.

And today an unknown ZTE device with the code number A2121 appeared on the TENAA database page. According to rumors, it is the Axon 20 smartphone. As always, we can see the appearance of the device in the database. Unfortunately, the image on the front of the smartphone is too dark. It makes it impossible to confirm the absence of any cuts.

The Chinese certification body provides at least some insight into the specifications of the phone. These include an unidentified 2.4GHz processor, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,120mAh battery.

On the back of the smartphone we see four cameras: 64 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP. The characteristics of the fourth module are not yet known.

Unfortunately, not much is known about ZTE’s new product. It is worth noting that this device will probably not be released in “wide distribution”. Most likely, the manufacturer will launch it only at home. But if all goes well, then the first cameras under the display are waiting for us faster than it seems.

The world’s first camera solution for screen ready for mass production

In July, Visionex had confirmed that it had already begun mass-producing the camera for under-display and smartphones to which it will arrive. That said, ZTE is more likely to mass-produce the same sensor using Visionex. Giants of smartphone manufacturing like Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo and more are all said to be working on the solution for under-display cameras. But ZTE would be the first to bring it to the general consumer.
