Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolfe announced during a news conference Thursday afternoon that new temporary Covid-19 restrictions would be put in place amid the state’s growth of Covid-19.

“We all hoped he wouldn’t get into this,” the governor said. “The current state of the boom in Pennsylvania however will not allow us to wait.”

From 4 December to 4 December, all indoor dining, with indoor operation of gym and fitness facilities, will be restricted. Outdoor dining and takeout services will still be allowed.

A statement from the governor’s office said the indoor gatherings would be attended by 10 people and 50 people outside.

Individual businesses in the entertainment industry, meanwhile, movie theaters, museums and casinos will also be banned from operation.

“We need to slow down the spread right now to save lives. If we don’t, we’ll be in big trouble, “said Wolfe.

Additionally, all privately owned private enterprises must operate a maximum of 50% of the business, unless business is further restricted by existing local regulations.

Eventually, all K-12 games will be stopped, with exceptional individual activities.

Professional and collegiate sports may continue, however, without spectators in person, and according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health.

By numbers: The state government’s health department registered 11,972 additional Covid-19 cases of 248 coronavirus-related deaths early on Thursday.

The statewide average now has 12,010 related deaths and 457,289 cases, including potential ones.
