2020 has been a difficult year so far, but rest assured BTS and Big Hit Entertainment are here to save the day. Every year BTS releases a collection of photo books and DVDs commemorating the previous year called BTS Memories. On July 19, 2020, BTS released a trailer for their upcoming BTS Memories of 2019 DVD, giving ARMY worldwide something to look forward to.
2019 was a great year for BTS
As fans know, 2019 was a momentous year for BTS. The group attended the 2019 Grammy Awards after being nominated for Best Recording Package. At the award ceremony, they presented the Best R&B award, making it the first Korean act to appear and perform at the award ceremony.
In April 2019, they released their EP Soul Map: Person. They debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart, making BTS the first group since The Beatles to have three No. 1 albums in less than a year. “Boy With Luv” served as the lead single for Soul Map: Person, and at that time broke the record for the most viewed online music video in 24 hours.
The group toured two unprecedented world tours, Love Yourself World Tour and BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself. They won Top Social Artist and Top Duo / Group at the Billboard Music Awards 2019, and Best K-Pop and Best Group at the MTV Video Music Awards 2019.

The group also won all of the awards they were nominated for at the American Music Awards by winning Favorite Duo or Pop / Rock Group, Favorite Social Artist and Tour of the Year.
At the end of the year, BTS held Daesang All-Kills at the 2019 Melon Music Awards and 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards, becoming the first performers in history to win all four Daesangs at MAMA in one night. They concluded the year by acting in Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
‘BTS Memories of 2019’ will commemorate their stellar year
On July 19, 2020, BTS shared a preview of their upcoming BTS Memories of 2019 DVD. According to the preview, fans will see the creation of BTS Soul Map: Person, his trip to the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards, images from the tour, his MMA 2019 and MAMA 2019 awards, and his New Year’s Eve performance.
Due to everything they accomplished in 2019, BTS Memories of 2019 will have more content so far. Compared to BTS Memories of 2018 which lasted 480 minutes, BTS Memories of 2019 will have 633 minutes of content. This means that fans will have over 10 hours and 30 minutes of new BTS content with the DVD set.

Fans are excited for the new DVD
After the announcement, fans expressed how excited they were about the upcoming release of BTS Memories of 2019 on social media. With the DVD collection, ARMY will be able to relive the historical year of the Korean band.

“I am so glad that I was able to experience 2019 with @BTS_twt and all of you and look forward to reliving it with Memories of 2019,” one ARMY tweeted.
“BTS MEMORIES OF 2019 IS 630 MINUTES LONG? OMG KSHDKSJF,” wrote a Twitter user.
