‘The Boys’ renewed for season 3 on Amazon, sorted after display

Boys are getting an early vote of confidence: Amazon Prime has renewed the valuable adaptation of the comics for season 3, more than a month before the season 2 premiere on Friday, September 4, was announced during the show’s Comic-Con @ Home broadcast panel on Thursday.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Aisha Tyler (Who owns this line anyway?) will organize the weekly aftershow Prime Rewind: Inside The Boys during the second season, which begins with three episodes, followed by a new installment every Friday until the end of the season on October 9. The subsequent presentation will premiere on Friday, August 28, with a look at season 1.

“Amazon, in a bold and historic push to expand its ‘weirdo’ demographics, has given the green light to Season 3 of Boys! The writers and I are working hard in the writer’s (virtual) room, and we are sad to say that the world has given us too much material, “showrunner Eric Kripke said in a statement.” We hope to film in early 2021, but that depends of a microscopic virus. “

“As if that wasn’t enough, we bring you a second season after the show, Prime Rewind: Inside The Boys. Planned two-way, “Kripke continued.” Hosted by the incomparable Aisha Tyler and starring the cast and crew, it’s a deep dive into how we make this crazy. Seriously thanks to [production studio] Sony, Amazon and fans. We really love doing this program, and we are delighted to be able to do more. ”

The next season “finds The Boys running from the law, hunted by the Supes and desperately trying to regroup and fight Vought,” according to the official synopsis. “By hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adapt to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere.”

On the so-called superhero front, “Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven, as Homelander (Antony Starr) focuses on taking complete control. Her power is threatened with the incorporation of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a new Supe with experience in social networks, who has her own agenda. On top of that, the threat from Supervillain takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia. ” (Watch a preview of season 2 here).
