The creepy superheroes and the vigilantes fighting against them are back in season 2 of The Boys on Amazon Prime.
Starting September 4, the show returns with new adventures and a new Seattle superhero. Amazon released a new teaser video on Friday showing Stormfront, played by Aya Cash (You’re the worst).
She introduces herself to the dysfunctional superhero team known as The Seven as they shoot a propaganda video at the scene. Of course, she is also being filmed live on social media as she greets the confused team of superheroes.
“I think Stormfront is like a nuclear bomb that explodes in the Seven,” Cash told Entertainment Weekly in March. “She is here to try and get Vought back to the original idea behind superhero creation, and she can be quite a feminist. There are plenty, I wouldn’t say wrong, but she’s also a very empowered woman.”
The video was shown Friday during a virtual meeting with The Boys cast and executive producer Eric Kripke, presented by Season 2’s guest star. Patton oswalt.
In the new season, the crew fighting the superheroes: Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), try to adapt to the hidden life, with Butcher (Karl Urbano ) nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate his place in the superhero team known as The Seven, as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets out to take complete control of the group. Her power is threatened with the hospration of Stormfront, a young superhero expert in social networks, who has her own agenda.
Superheroes in The Seven also include Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford), and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell).
Amazon Prime Video also announced on Friday that the second season of The Boys will premiere its first three episodes on September 4, and new episodes will air every Friday until the end of the season on October 9. There are eight episodes in total.
