New Releases highlights some of the most popular games to be released soon, and this week has a double dose of invaded kingdoms with PS4-exclusive Ghost of Tsushima and Nintendo Switch-exclusive Paper Mario: The Origami King. The cross-platform crowd can try Rocket Arena, and the Death Stranding PC port is here. Finally, those looking for a more Zen experience can tend their farms with Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

Death Stranding – July 14

Our review of Death Stranding is quite positive, and now PC gamers can experience the latest Hideo Kojima outing for themselves. It’s the same story of delivery guy Sam Bridges walking the shattered United States, with a good dose of Kojima’s story beats and quirky scenes. The PC version also includes a new photo and cross-content mode with the Half-Life series, plus support for higher frame rates and ultra-wide monitors.

The Mushroom Kingdom has been usurped again, this time by King Origami Olly himself. Mario will have to use a new ring-based combat system to defeat enemies and bosses if he hopes to regain the kingdom. The origami style also applies to the world: you will throw and bend the environment to solve puzzles and explore. It is not as focused on role-playing as some of the older games. Instead, it has heavy adventure game elements and lots of word games.
