The Shelby F-150 Super Snake 2020 is an absolute beast, as Throttle House recently discovered by putting one to the test in Canada.
Shelby unveiled the F-150 Super Snake to the world at last year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas and promptly declared that the madness would go into production in 2020. Now it has arrived and it seems crazy enough to drive. look.
Driving the truck is a 5.0-liter V8 that, in basic form, delivers 395 hp. However, if customers want a little extra horsepower, they can go for the supercharged variant of this engine that delivers a staggering 770 hp. Shelby says it is enough to send the truck to 60 mph (96 km / h) in just 3.45 seconds, a figure previously unimaginable for a vehicle of this size and scale.

Shelby, however, has not only released a large and powerful V8 and called it a day. The company has also worked extensively on overhauling the suspension so that it can handle that power while also taking corners with much more balance than a standard F-150. In fact, it is actually possible to drift the Super Snake through the corners, although it doesn’t seem particularly easy to do so.
Then there are the looks. Adorning the exterior are a number of eye-catching pieces, including a bulging hood and the inclusion of a new front grille and multiple air intakes.
As it stands, this is perhaps the craziest truck currently on the market. However, Ram will soon launch his Rebel TRX with a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8, and it could prove to be the perfect rival for the Super Snake.
