Bank of Thailand Confirms Commemorative Banknote Qualified to Meet High Standards
Phaiboon Kittisrikangwan, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Thailand (BOT), revealed that the 2019 Royal Coronation Ceremony commemorative banknotes have the same high-level anti-counterfeiting characteristics as the banknotes in circulation. As always, the same goes for commemorative tickets from the past. Therefore, people can be assured of counterfeiting and can be used with normal circulation as with all banknotes.
The public can consult the banknote in 3 simple ways: touch, lift, turn, tilt, with important landmarks such as the relief of the price type in the corner of the banknote and the word of the Thai government, the colored watermark with animation. And 3D magnetic inks can change color, etc.
Regarding the similarities of the 100 baht commemorative note and the current 1000 baht circulation note, we would like to report that there are some obvious differences to the public, such as the size of the 1000 baht circulation note with the length.
