British online gambling website Smarkets revealed that the odds of Britain not being able to reach a trade deal with the European Union (EU) before the end of the year, or a no-deal Brexit, have risen to 61 per percent today from 53 percent yesterday.
Odds have skyrocketed from 19% chance just a week earlier. Turning around as an opportunity for “No Deal” earlier this week for the first time in nearly three months on online gambling site Smarkets.
The odds increase. After British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said yesterday, as EU leaders met in Brussels, that there is a strong possibility that the UK and the EU will not be able to reach a trade deal with each other before the deadline for Britain to withdraw from the EU before the end of the year.
Mr. Johnson made such comments. He and Ursula der Leyen, president of the European Commission (EC), the EU’s executive body, set a deadline for trade talks at a meeting on Wednesday, saying both sides must reach a trade deal before Sunday. December 13th.
