At 0400 hours today (November 9, 2020), a depression (storm level 2) in the middle of the South China Sea A tropical storm “Etao” (Storm 3) has intensified and is centered at latitude 13.0 degrees north, longitude 114.7 degrees east with the highest wind speed near the center at about 65 kilometers per hour.
The storm is moving west at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour. The storm is expected to land in southern Vietnam on November 10-11, 2020, after which it will weaken into a depression.
