Mr. Joshua Wong Democracy activists in Hong Kong Posted on Twitter today (Oct 17) in Thai to encourage anti-dictatorship protesters in Thailand yesterday (Oct 16) saying

“I would like to cheer for all Thais.”

Together with the hashtag #MilkTeaAlliance Or a milk tea companion that represents the unification of internet users in Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Previous to this post Wong also posted a 3-inch figure while typing a message on his computer with the screen facing the camera that said #StandWithThailand or stand next to Thailand AND narrated quoting from the movie V for Vendetta (Phaya’s Masked Executioner Yom) saying, “The people should not fear the government. There is only one government that should fear the people.”

Mr. Wong’s move came after police used force to disperse a 2020 congressional crowd, mainly youth, students, and students using high-pressure water sprays mixed with paints and chemicals. There have also been arrests of protesters and reporters.
