The arrest comes after the Chinese Communist Party government enacted a national security law against Hong Kong earlier this year. And although Mr. Wong has not been arrested for violating said law. But recent Hong Kong protesters and activists have been arrested by law. Which was criticized by many international reviews of this topic.
