Earlier this year, Consumer Reports published its annual report on car owner satisfaction. Again, the report, which is based on extensive research from car owners, found that Tesla owners are happiest with their cars. In particular, the Tesla Model 3 won the 2020 competition. As the owner of Tesla Model 3, I even tried to explain why with 70 reasons that came to my mind.
Consumer Reports has now distributed the data in a new way, by generation (h / t Teslarati). The organization publishes the cars that most satisfy members of the Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, and Millennials. This is based on surveys of 420,000+ car owners. (Yes, a little more than that 420, 000 according to Consumer Reports. You can not create this game.)
As you can see in the title of this article, it won the Tesla Model 3 in every age group. It was a square win.
Other Tesla models also rank well. The Tesla Model S was # 3 in the Silent Generation and was # 4 among Baby Boomers. Meanwhile, Generation X is the most Tesla-savvy, with the Model 3 rank # 1, the Model S rank # 2, and the Model X rank # 4. (I’m personally surprised that the Model X does not run a bit higher, for ‘ t I still think it’s the best passenger vehicle in the world overall, but maybe the falcon wing doors are just not for everyone – if the vehicle just does not do the Exciting owners like the Model 3 and Model S. ) As an older member of the Millennial generation (I amper make the cut), the only Tesla on the list is the Model 3 (at No. 1 of course), which is fully anticipated because the Model S and Model X are typically well beyond our budgets.
I did not see any other electric cars on the lists, but the Toyota Prius made it to three of them (and does not make it into the Millennial rankings), and some of those owners must have the Prius Prime plug-in hybrid. Furthermore, the Ford Mustang made it to two of the rankings, and gave some hope for the Mustang Mach-E to find buyers, win them over and maybe get on those lists in the future. The only concern is that it just barely made the ranking of the older generations (the Silent Generation and baby boomers), so it’s unclear from the Mustang brand as the profession it uses among younger buyers and older buyers are less likely in new to jump technology. CleanTechnica has been dealing with electric cars for about a decade, but the concept is still new to many Americans.
Adding to this new ranking, below are again 70 reasons why I think the Model 3 is the most beloved car in America, based on the extensive research of Consumer Reports.

- Zero emissions!
Another reason?
So, who has the real problems with Tesla cars?
Apparently NOT the people who own them. According to the Consumer Reports survey, Tesla has the highest rating of owner satisfaction from any other brand by a wide margin. Https: //t.co/63q9uZEwfs$ TSLA#teslaissues$ TSLAQ pic.twitter.com/8EHteCdByI
