Some exciting news in the world of Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet. This week we learned that Warner Bros. will end the long-awaited flick in select US cities at the end of August and (and!) we also learned Tenet will have an original song. I know it’s a long, winding road full of obstacles Tenet, but I’m intrigued by these two great updates.
The first thing is the first: screening dates for early access. Deadline reports that, as announced by President Warner Bros. Domestic Distribution Jeff Goldstein, the studio is currently planning to release Tenet in those U.S. theaters currently open to businesses from August 31 through September 2. This means that people in selected cities in the country can watch Nolan’s new film for a maximum of three days before the current scheduled date of September 3. Goldstein accompanies the news on these dates for screening early access with a brief statement: ‘Warner Bros. is proud to support our partners in exhibition as they reopen their doors. And there could be no better film to welcome back audiences into a truly big-screen experience than Tenet. ”
In other Tenet news, faster Travis Scott accidentally revealed that he had made an original song for the Nolan photo – and Nolan flippin ‘loves it. Scott’s slip-up happened while playing in-progress tracks for GQ as part of his September cover story. Instead of playing the song he intended, Scott accidentally pressed the play on its unfinished Tenet track.
Fortunately, Nolan Scott confirmed his involvement with the Tenet soundtrack when GQ followed. He told the man magazine, ‘His voice became the last piece of a year-long puzzle. His insight into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I built were immediate, insightful and deep. “Okay, well, all I want is to listen to this track!
Tenet will be released on September 3 in select US cities. For more, check out our updated calendar for release 2020.
