It is unlikely that she imagined it, even in her wildest dreams.
But a college student will now be able to accomplish her goal of achieving college after singer Taylor Swift donated thousands of dollars to her college funds.
Victoria Mario, 18, had received an offer to study mathematics at the UK’s University of Warwick, after getting top marks in her A-Level exam, which is equivalent to SATs in the US
However, she was not eligible for maintenance loans or subsidies in the UK, having only moved to Portugal four years ago to live with relatives in London.
So in a bid to raise money, they set up an online fundraising site with a goal of £ 40,000 ($ 53,000).

Explaining how challenging it was to get away from her mother, she wrote that “it was worth making a sacrifice.”
“In the eyes of my family, if you can get a university education in the UK, you will be separated for life,” she added.
After her story was shared on social media, she had raised almost half of that when the pop star stepped down Thursday to make out the remaining £ 23,373 ($ 30,000).
“I came across your story online and am so inspired by your drive and dedication to turn your dreams into reality,” Swift wrote in a message alongside her donation. “I want to give you the rest of your target amount. Good luck with everything you do! Love, Taylor.”
Vitoria later tweeted her thanks to the star.
Vitoria called it “a blessing from the blue”, in a separate interview with the British broadcaster Sky News, and said she hoped God would pay Swift “10 times more”.
She added that she hopes to pursue a career in technology when she completes her degree.
