Talk point: What are you playing this weekend? (June 27th)

Ninjala

We finally managed to get through another long week, this time packed with lots of news from Super Smash Bros., the controversial Pokémon Presents show, and reports that Nintendo plans to scale back its development of mobile games.

With all of that out of the way, it’s time for us to sit down and chat about our weekend game plans. Members of the Nintendo Life Team have discussed exactly that below, and we’d love for you to join us through our polls and feedback section. Enjoy!

I have had 2X speed on my Switch SD card for years, but I never really played it. In his review, Mitch used the classic “all killer, no filler” line, and that’s something I look for with absolutely every game I play these days. It cannot be done with swelling.

I also have many other gems that I could go on with, though Star Wars Episode I: Racer It is very good and I am seeing it in the electronic store. As I type, the N64 cart is ready to use in the console slot, but the convenience of having it on the Switch, not to mention the HD brightness on my modern television, is probably too hard to resist. Another for the order book. It is podracing, after all.

I only have a few things to do in Pokémon shield and swordIt’s the Isle of Armor DLC, so I’m going to try to finish this whole weekend. I’m a handful of Pokemon far from completing the Pokédex, though I need to get my hands on a couple of exclusive versions, and I’ve finally tracked down to the last Diglett. Hoorah!

Elsewhere, my copy of The last of us, part II I just showed up and have been waiting to play it for years. Having said that, I keep hearing that it is a particularly harsh and depressing experience at times, so I will have to see if I am emotionally ready to jump! Having good people.

This weekend I am diving deep Ninjala! I love what I’ve seen of the art style so far and with fingers crossed, the action can live up to the excellent world building that GungHo Online has delivered with this one. Elsewhere I’m still flying Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia With some of the different factions available, I’ve completed two races so far, my review should end soon, and overall I’ve been enjoying the slow and almost relaxing nature of the tactical battles that are the main meat of the game. here.

If I have some game time left, I will try, in vain, to progress with my very slow game of Definitive edition of Xenoblade Chronicles. Too many games! Have a good weekend and stay safe there.

I was starting to lose interest in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – which says something, considering there is literally nothing else to do in life right now, however, with the news of a bug this weekend and an impending dive / swim update next time, I have magically regained my interest in the game, like a true alternating current addict!

I also have yet to dive into the Pokemon Shield expansion pass, which i bought at launch, but just haven’t wanted to get back in yet, so it’s likely to take the rest of my weekend. Naturally, I’d find reasons to keep playing the games I’ve already played to death, instead of digging deep into any part of my order book. Because i’m lazy

The new free title to play Ninjala It is probably what I will play the most this weekend on my Switch. I have waited for it, like many others, for at least a few years, and I have been eager to correctly sink my teeth into it since i participated in beta. So in the next few days, I will do exactly that. I also bought the first chapter of the story mode with a little bit of eShop credit, so I’m looking forward to seeing it between the online battles.

In addition to the new GungHo release, I’m looking forward to dig inside Mr. Driller: DrillLand and go back to both Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Animal Crossing: New Horizons before the next big updates. Oh and i can’t let go Star wars racer. I can’t believe we can now play this classic on a modern Nintendo platform, how cool is that!

Affectionate memories of Star Wars Episode I Racer It came running with the launch of the remaster. Despite a very poor audio mix, it’s still a really wonderful experience, one that gave me an idea of Episode I long before its movie premiere. Nostalgia keeps kicking with the powerful boot of Duke Nukem 3D – 20th anniversary world tour. Jon St. John’s phrases continue to steal the entire show two decades later.

My game of the week is Railway empire! More nostalgia-induced fun due to all the stellar memories I still have as a child assembling HO train sets with my father. They still have them lying too! I am told they are worth a small fortune today …

As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave a vote on the poll above and a comment below with your gaming options in the coming days …
