Taco Bell makes the restaurant of the future

In a world where most consumers are reluctant to sit indoors for long periods of time, Taco Bell is working hard to create something that they feel is the future of the franchise. This week unveiled the fan-favorite fast-food joint plans to finally create a new restaurant called Taco Bell Go Mobile. The new style will place a heavy emphasis on drive-thru ordering of everything, while hungry people point to the new Taco Bell phone app to order ahead.

In addition to having two powered routes open at each Taco Bell Go Mobile, the restaurant’s new style will also include non-contact renovations and “bellhops”, which will bring tablets to your car to place your order. According to a release released by the company, the first Go Mobile experience is not expected to open until the first part of next year and it is not immediately known where the location will be.

“With the demand for our drive-up in a long time, we know that adapting to the rapidly changing needs of our consumers has never been more important,” said Taco Bell President Mike Grams in the press release. “The Taco Bell Go Mobile restaurant concept is not only a developed physical footprint, but a fully synchronized digital experience central to streamlining access points for guests. For the first time, our guests have the opportunity to choose the pick-up experience that it best suits their needs, all while never leaving the comfort of their cars. ”

The full list of upgrades, as the company says, can be found below.

  • Minimization: Taco Bell Go Mobile locations house several new digital advancements, all within 1,325 square feet – a much smaller footprint compared to the average 2,500 square foot Taco Bell restaurant.
  • Dual Drive-Thru: The new concepts will include two drive-thru routes, including a new priority pick-up lane with fast service for customers ordering through the Taco Bell app. This new job will complement the existing, traditional job.
  • Curbside Pick-Up: Taco Bell Go Mobile customers also have the option to receive their order through curbside contactless pick-up, another handy alternative that modern consumers are looking for.
  • Bellhops: To further streamline guests’ experiences, Taco Bell Go Mobile will also include tablet orders in drive-thrus and curbside pickup, both operated by a team member concierge service known as “bellhops.”
