Young driver (18) hits retaining wall, rock wall and tree

On the night of Good Friday, a car driver caused an accident shortly after 9.30 pm on Läufelfingerstrasse in Eptingen. No one was injured, as the Baselbieter police report: the driver of the accident was able to get out of the vehicle alone.

According to the prior knowledge of the authorities, the 18-year-old driver was driving along the Läufelfingerstrasse in Läufelfingen in the direction of Eptingen. Due to improper speed, he lost control of his vehicle on a right turn and hit the retaining wall on the left first. As a result of the collision, the passenger car was thrown against the rock face to the right and then to the left against a tree, where the vehicle stopped at the edge of the forest.

The vehicle suffered a total cancellation and had to be recovered, loaded and transported by a towing service.
