By jumping out of the moving car, two women in Walenstadtberg SG were saved on Christmas Day after losing control of the vehicle. You got hurt easily.
A 41-year-old motorist drove her car down the snow-covered mountainous road in Walenstadtberg shortly after 4 p.m. on Christmas Day when she lost control of the vehicle, St. Gallen canton police said on Saturday. The car passed the edge of the road and went down an embankment.
The driver and her 29-year-old passenger jumped out of the moving car and injured themselves. The driverless car collided with a chandelier some 150 meters further and 40 meters below and stopped. The two women were taken to the hospital by the ambulance service. The police estimated the material damage at about 13,000 francs.
The snow caused a dozen accidents on the streets of the canton of St. Gallen on Christmas Day. In another accident on the A1 motorway between Gossau and Winkeln, there was a minor injury. The other accidents only caused material damage, which, according to the police, amounted to tens of thousands of francs. (aeg / sda)
