A hunter saw two young animals in Mürtschental GL. A pair of adult wolves was already known.

For the first time, the presence of young wolves could be detected in the canton of Glarus. During big game hunting, a hunter observed two young wolves in Mürtschental. The young wolves were born this year, according to the Department of Game and Fish of the Canton of Glarus.

Two adult wolves had already been detected in Kerenzerberg in February. It is likely that they are the parent animals, that is, the founders of the first herd in the canton of Glarus.

The Mürtschental lies at the foot of the Mürtschenstock and borders the canton of St. Gallen.
