Pending Mogul: Tadé with premiere on the podium

Two days after his 25th birthday, Marco Tadé achieved the third podium of his career with second place in Kuusamo, Finland, the first in the classic format. Ticino only had to admit defeat to Japan’s Ikuma Horishima. In the evaluation, which takes into account the time and the evaluation of the jumps, Tadé got 78.93 points and was 1.93 points behind Horishima. For Tadé it was only the eighth World Cup race since his cruciate ligament was torn. He celebrated his previous podium spots on the double mogul track. Nicole Gasparini was eliminated from the women.

Ski jumping: Ammann doesn’t go far

Simon Ammann is still behind the first points of the World Cup this season. The four-time Olympic champion jumped to only 35th place in Nizhny Tagil Young Swiss Dominik Peter achieved his best World Cup result with 16th place. Two solid jumps at 125.5 and 122.5m, as well as an updraft decent, they made this result possible. Gregor Deschwanden jumped to 17th place immediately behind Tösstaler. The best Poles and Austrians did not make the trip to Russia, which was taken advantage of by the Norwegian winner Halvor Egner Granerud.
