Switzerland Tourism wants to create clarity for winter sports enthusiasts with an overview of cantonal regulations throughout Switzerland. Due to the insecurity of the guests, confusion represents a significant obstacle to planning vacations and excursions. The reasons are constantly changing the opening hours of restaurants and ski areas, writes Switzerland Tourism in a message.

By resolution of December 18, the Federal Council closed restaurants and cultural and leisure facilities throughout Switzerland. At the same time, however, it allows cantons with positive epidemiological developments to carry out selective relief such as opening restaurants or, otherwise, calls for additional restrictions such as closing ski areas.
