See you tomorrow!
This Saturday we were able to celebrate four pole setters and a race winner. Jordi Torres started in MotoE, in the Raúl Fernández (Moto3), Luca Marini (Moto2) and Maverick Vinales (MotoGP) World Championship classes, the last two even with a new record on the track!
And Dominique Aegerter won the first of two MotoE races after a three-way battle on the last lap. Of course we want to see more of that tomorrow! Then, in addition to the warm-ups, there are four races on the calendar, which of course we will follow in our MotoGP live ticker. Until then!
The schedule for Sunday:

09: 20-09: 40 pm: MotoGP

MotoE: Tech3 gives the go-ahead
Lukas Tulovic got away with the horror of his accident in the first MotoE race. Even though the third metacarpal bone in his right hand was broken and he felt some pain in his right ankle, he can smile again to some extent.
As his Tech3 team writes, the doctors should re-examine him tomorrow morning to decide if he can start the second race.
MotoE: Tulovic is under investigation
After his highsider in the first lap, Lukas Tulovic had to be carried on a stretcher. The German is currently undergoing a check-up at the Medical Center. We keep our fingers crossed that you have not been seriously injured and will of course report as soon as there is an update.
MotoE: Aegerter expands overall leadership
Dominique Aegerter not only maintained his World Cup lead with his victory, he also extended it. His advantage is now 19 points. Jordi Torres is the new runner-up, Matteo Ferrari loses one position and is third. He is 21 points behind. Mattia Casadei and Xavier Simeon are still in fourth and fifth.

MotoE: corrected race result
And the final result changes again, because Tommaso Marcon rises to P5. His transponder was apparently damaged early on when he had to avoid the downed Lukas Tulovic. Therefore, the timing showed Marcon last. In fact, he crossed the finish line in fifth place, six and a half seconds behind the winner.

MotoE: The voices of the top 3
Dominique Aegerter (IntactGP, 1.): “Of course I’m very happy with the way this race went. There were a lot of duels. A great fight in these 7 laps. I didn’t start that well yesterday, but I’m in the race and I can fight with the best MotoE riders. looking forward to the second race. “
Jordi Torres (Pons-Racing, 2.): “The podium is not bad. My pace was good, but Dominique had more confidence to stop late. They were great matches in this race.”
Matteo Ferrari (Gresini, 3.): “I led the whole race. I’m very happy about that. Unfortunately, I was overtaken on the last lap and I hit the green surface at the last corner. Third place is not a good result.”
MotoE: penalty for Ferrari
For not knowing the limits of the track on the arrival curve, Matteo Ferrari lost one position, so Jordi Torres climbed to second place. Two rookies in the top two!
Mattia Casadei finished fourth ahead of Niccolo Canepa, Alejandro Medina, Josh Hook, Xavier Cardelus, Alessandro Zaccone and Maria Herrera. In all, only 13 drivers saw the checkered flag. Lukas Tulovic, Eric Granado, Xavier Simeon, Alex de Angelis and Mike Di Meglio were eliminated due to falls.
MotoE: Victory for Dominique Aegerter!
Dominique Aegerter attacks again at Turn 14, but this time against leader Matteo Ferrari, and can hold the line and defend first place until the end. Ferrari has to admit defeat by 0.075 seconds. Jordi Torres finished third, just 0.103 seconds behind the leader.
MotoE: final phase
The last lap is running and the first 3 are three tenths of a second away. Aegerter tries again and overtakes Torres, but he doesn’t give up either. Can Ferrari benefit from the duel behind his back?
MotoE: Worth a try …
Aegerter attacks Torres on turn 14 and passes, but loses his position a turn later. Both are still glued to Matteo Ferrari, for whom it will not be as clear a march as a week ago …
MotoE: three-way battle at the top
Aegerter meanwhile has lost a position to Torres and is third. But both are keeping pace with Matteo Ferrari, who continues to lead. Further back, Alex de Angelis also falls and is out of the race. Just three more laps.
MotoE: Kollision!
Drama in the top group! Granado begins to overtake Simeon, but slides on the front wheel and drags Simeon with him. That’s it for both of us. The leading group is reduced to three pilots.
MotoE: Aegerter overtakes Torres
The first lap has been completed and Ferrari leads the field. Torres healed under pressure from Aegerter, who found a way. The fourth is Xavier Simeon, followed by Casadei and Granado. There is already a gap behind the top 6.
MotoE: the beginning
As always, it starts immediately without a warm-up lap. Mattei Ferrari had the best start and overtook pole setter Jordi Torres. Further back down the field, Lukas Tulovic flies unpleasantly down highsider and is incredibly lucky that all subsequent drivers can avoid him.
MotoE: the starting grid
The MotoE riders have already taken their places on the grid. Jordi Torres is on pole for the first time. He shares the front row with Matteo Ferrari, who won a week ago, and World Championship leader Dominique Aegerter. Eric Granado, Xavier Simeno and Lukas Tulovic complete the second row.
Seven race laps are scheduled.
Moto3 update: Tatsuki Suzuki injured
Before the first race of this weekend with MotoE begins, we have some unpleasant news from Moto3: Tatsuki Suzuki has to stay out of qualifying for the rest of the weekend after his highsider. The Japanese suffered a broken left wrist. We wish him a speedy recovery!
