Lausanne fights back after the deficit, the FCZ is defeated by Servette.
Play on the tourbillon went on for a long time, only to set off real fireworks in the final phase.
Christian Zock debuted with goals in the Super League as a can opener: after a corner kick, the ball fell in front of the Cameroon’s feet, who put Sion 1-0 in front with a strong shot.
The goal also seemed to serve as a wake-up call for the previously extremely passive Liechtensteiners: Gabriel Lüchinger concluded a dream combination to equal 1: 1 just 4 minutes later. It was the first goal for Vaduz’s team after a 465-minute break.
Premiere at the perfect time
In the final phase, the «Ländle» fund tried to win 1 point. But this tactic went wrong: in the 90th minute, Ayoub Abdellaoui retired with the courage of desperation from 20 meters and caught FCV goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel for the 2-1 victory for the Sion team. It was a first goal for the Algerian too.
Previously, little to nothing was offered in Valais for a good 70 minutes, but that more than made up for it in the finals.
With this, Sion is in exchange for the first duel of the season (1: 4) and rises to 2 points over Lucerna, eighth classified. Vaduz is left with the 3rd consecutive defeat in his 6 points and at the end of the table.
So it goes
Sion is due to play for FC Zurich again on Wednesday. Vaduz will also have the next chance to claim the second win of the season at Servette in 3 days.
