The finds of metallic monoliths are increasing. After Utah (United States) and Romania, now it is the turn of the city of Atascadero in the US state of California. The strange sculpture was found on Pine Mountain.
This discovery keeps the rumor mill simmering. Some suspect a simple public relations joke, others see it as the work of aliens. One thing is clear: no artist has been publicly recognized as the author of the sculptures.

According to the New York Post, the person who found the Californian monolith was hiker Gary Lyons. He filmed the structure and said, “Be prepared to see this everywhere.” The video material received “Storyful”, an Irish publishing service provider. The video drew dozens of viewers on the same day.
The “Atascadero News” writes that the monolith was discovered on Wednesday. The first monolith in Utah, found on November 18, also received similar attention. Numerous viewers made a pilgrimage to him after his location was posted on the Internet. On November 27, he disappeared again in a night and fog operation. The builder is still unknown. According to his own statements, “Sketchy” base jumper Andy Lewis, who hails from Moab, a city in Utah, removed the monolith.
Reason: I wanted to protect the estate after a large number of spectators visited the monolith. They left their cars everywhere in the vegetation and polluted the environment by leaving their garbage behind.
Is there a connection?
Meanwhile, a monolith was also found on November 27 in the Romanian region of Piatra Neamt. However, it disappeared again on December 1. It is unknown how or who removed it.
