The House of Representatives was re-elected on November 3, and about a third of the Senate seats were put to a vote. Congress meets for a new legislative term in early January. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Twitter that Democrats are ready to use a streamlined process in Parliament to approve direct aid payments of $ 2,000.
