In the Petri dish, Echinaforce, available without a prescription in pharmacies, works against Sars-CoV-2, as a research team from the Spiez Laboratory found in the “Virology Journal.” The “Blick” already sees him as a crown killer. Are Red Echinacea Extracts Really a Miracle Cure?

No, certainly not. For one thing, many other active substances have already been tested in the laboratory, but unfortunately they have not been shown to be clinically effective. For example, the anti-HIV drug Kaletra, which consists of a combination of lopinavir and ritonavir. However, this preparation had only shown an antiviral effect against Sars-CoV-2 in the test tube. That is why this current study means nothing at all. Because we currently don’t know if it works as well on the mucous membrane of the nose and throat as it does in cell culture. Therefore, it is imperative that human clinical trials with enough people first be seen as a breakthrough.
