United States President Donald Trump (73) is relieved on Twitter that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un (36), whom Trump also called his friend, is alive despite rumors that they say otherwise.
Since the Politburo meeting on April 11, there have been no signs of the life of the young North Korean dictator until Friday. Speculation triggered that Kim may have died of a failed emergency heart intervention.
But apparently even the most powerful person in the world trusts North Korea’s state media and takes his word for it. As if Kim had been resurrected, Trump wrote on Twitter that Sunday night: “For my part, I’m happy that he’s back and that he’s fine!”
It was Kim’s first public appearance in nearly three weeks. The third regular owner of the Kim dynasty ceremoniously cuts the red ribbon at an opening ceremony at a fertilizer factory. According to the party body, Kim is said to be there. “Rodong Sinmun”, the largest newspaper in North Korea, “had a wonderful May 1.”
The images show what North Korea wants to show: a radiant Kim in good health, who appears to have gained a few extra pounds, and who, as the rumor wanted to know, is at best on his vegetative deathbed . Or for the worst case scenario, succession and a monumental abdication are already being planned.
Was Kim operated on anyway?
The US-funded internet portal wants it all “Daily NK”, which had released the rumors of Kim’s death, did not let the misfortune of false information take effect. The news portal now quotes medical experts that the marks on Kim’s forearm could indicate an operation.
For this purpose, the video material was meticulously analyzed. Kim may have had “cardiovascular surgery” due to a mark on his right forearm, the portal said. An April 11 image shows no such feature in the same spot on Kim’s arm.
That could at least confirm reports that Kim at least had to recover from an operation. Apparently he did this brilliantly. The images allegedly taken on May 1 show Kim smiling and in great shape, with her younger sister Kim Yo Jong (32) at her side, who is already being treated as his successor.
