Two people were seriously injured in Weiach ZH early Saturday morning. The traffic accident took place on Glattfelderstrasse. A 32-year-old driver drove into Weiach at 6 a.m.
At the Weiach gravel factory, there was a violent head-on collision with the approaching passenger car of a 34-year-old man.
A trapped man
As a result of the impact, a driver was trapped in his car and had to be rescued by firefighters, the Zurich canton police write. The two seriously injured men were airlifted to hospitals after receiving initial on-site care.
Both vehicles, a Porsche and a Citroën, were totaled.
