On Twitter, Trump announced a “major press conference” with his lawyers at the “Four Seasons” in Philadelphia at 5:30 pm (CET). Trump was not there, but he sent his lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Instead of this happening in a hotel, he found himself in the parking lot of a landscaping company.
Between a junkyard and the highway, Giuliani, like Trump, previously tried on Twitter to debunk the Philadelphia counts. The metropolis of the US state of Pennsylvania is corrupt, according to Trump’s lawyer. In addition, Giuliani sent several election observers who reported on alleged irregularities.
Freelance journalist Richard Hall was there and reported on the absurdity of the scenario in a rather entertaining Twitter thread. Hall does not explain why Trump’s team chose this exact location. Rumor has it on Twitter that someone on Team Trump made a management mistake and booked the wrong Four Season in Philadelphia.
A reaction from the luxury hotel “Four Seasons” added to the embarrassment: “To be clear, President Trump’s press conference will NOT take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. It takes place in the Four Seasons landscaping, with no connection to the hotel. “
Comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted: “Let the history books record it: The dildo shop next to Trump’s press conference had better Covid precautionary measures than the White House.”
It is unknown why the press conference took place in a parking lot in front of a daycare center, of all the venues, and why Trump mixed the venues. Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski tried to break a Twitter spear for the president: “All great Americans in PA (Pennsylvania) use Four Seasons Total Landscpaping. They love this country and are American patriots. Thank you!!”
