Max Studer is tenth in the Hamburg Triathlon World Championship, the victory goes to Vincent Luis.

In the final sprint and just 29 seconds behind the top, Solothurn’s Max Studer took tenth place in Hamburg.

In the only Corona-related event in the World Cup decision, the 24-year-old placed behind the top group in the final 5km race. In the last meters he then beat Norwegian Gustav Iden.

Luis defends his title

The winner was Frenchman Vincent Luis. The defending champion also relegated the Portuguese Vasco Vilaca and his compatriot Léo Bergere to the other places in the final meters.

With Adrien Briffod (29th), another Swiss made it into the top 30. Florin Salvisberg had to leave the competition.

Annen in the top 20

Georgia Taylor-Brown triumphed in women. The British won 9 seconds and more ahead of Bermuda’s Flora Duffy and Laura Lindemann of Germany.

Jolanda Annen de Uri came in at 19th place. For the 27-year-old, it is a satisfying result after the foot injury in February: before the race, she had defined the top 20 as a personal goal.
