On Friday morning on Bernstrasse in Schnottwil there was a side collision between a car and a trailer truck. The two occupants of the car were injured.
On Friday, October 9, 2020, shortly before 10 am, a truck driver was on the Bernstrasse in the direction of Schnottwil. At the confluence with Balm b. Coming from Messen (Hauptstrasse / Bernstrasse) there was a car.
For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a frontal side collision subsequently occurred between the two vehicles. The 51-year-old driver and her 29-year-old passenger were injured in the accident and both had to be taken to a hospital in a REGA helicopter.
Wengi-Grossaffoltern, Lyss and Oberer Bucheggberg fire brigades deployed to rescue the two people. Two ambulances from the canton of Bern and a care team were also at the scene. The road between Wengi and Schnottwil had to be closed for about three hours to register the accident.
